


Dr Samraghni Bonnerjee FHEA
Dr Samraghni Bonnerjee is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow in English Literature at Northumbria University and an Editor of the Journal of War and Culture Studies. Her first monograph, Health Policy and Racial Capitalism in British Detention Centres is forthcoming with Cambridge University Press in 2025.
Dr Bonnerjee’s research interests are Anglophone literature (particularly British, Australian, and Indian [Bengali and Hindi]) of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, colonialism and postcolonialism, and Medical Humanities. She is interested in the intersection of race, gender, medical care and biopower in the (neo)colonial cultures of the Forever War.
